Luxury resort opens on Phu Quoc island
The first international luxury hotel brand on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island, the new JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, opened its doors earlier this year, adding an exciting new destination to the global MICE map.
With the distinctive, irreverent style of renowned architect Bill Bensley evident throughout and a design narrative based on a mythical academy of learning, the flagship new property is an inspiring resort for all kinds of gatherings and events.
Accommodation at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay comprises 244 spacious rooms, suites, villas and houses, in which meticulously sourced original art, antiques, curios and artifacts lend a whimsical air that blends harmoniously with modern comfort and JW world-class service. Five restaurants and bars offer a mix of fine dining and more casual options, while chef-crafted cuisine for larger scale events or meeting lunches can be prepared to any brief.

Beachfront location
Set on a pristine beach, the resort has three outdoor pools, a dedicated water sports centre, and the in-house Department of Physical Education has the latest fitness equipment, as well as a team of instructors and personal trainers who will happily organise team building sports sessions and group games. The Alice in Wonderland-inspired Chanterelle – Spa by JW offers a complete menu of spa and wellness experiences.
The picturesque Rue de Lamarck is the beating cultural heart of the resort, an atmospheric promenade that comes alive each night with street performances, parades, entertainment and street food. Evoking the traditional buildings and streets of Hoi An, Rue de Lamarck also provides a unique outdoor setting and ambience for show-stopping events, from fashion shows and product launches to fantastical weddings.
The resort’s meeting and events facilities include the 688sqm Grand Ballroom with capacity for up to 400 guests, function space, four meeting rooms, and indoor and outdoor pre-function space.
