Atmosphere is Maldives’ fastest growing resort brand
Fast-growing Indian Ocean resort brand Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts has amassed a total of 100,728 room nights across its four properties, making it the fastest-growing hospitality brand in the Maldives.
The development marks a significant step for the group, which launched with the opening of the five-star Atmosphere Kanifushi in 2013, and now has a 475-key inventory in its portfolio.
Other properties include the specialist four-star diving resort OBLU at Helengeli (opened November 2015), five-star luxury OZEN by Atmosphere (opened in July 2016) and new four-star deluxe resort, OBLU Select (opened on 1 July 2018), complete with exclusive overwater honeymoon pool suites.
The split of room nights is:
- 26,282 for OZEN (102% of last year’s total)
- 30,785 for AKM (98% on last year)
- 31,975 for OBLU Helengeli (93% on last year)
- 11,686 for new resort OBLU SELECT at Sangeli
With almost four months of the year still to go, these figures are set to rise further, with 130,000 room nights across the board predicted for the year in total.
Dinesh Bhaskar, group director, Sales & Marketing for Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, said: “It’s an extremely proud moment to reach such a milestone and a true testament to the hard work of the whole team. Our core philosophy from the very beginning has always been the ‘Joy of Giving’ and following a customer centric approach throughout our resorts.
“Offering our discerning guests authentic Indian Ocean holiday experiences with genuine value-for-money at a competitive price point, has allowed us to stand out in a crowded market thereby enabling us to achieve such occupancy rates consistently year after year.
