EVA Air named one of the world’s top five airlines

Taiwan’s leading independent airline EVA Air has been awarded 5-star accreditation by SKYTRAX for the third consecutive year in a row.

As one of only 11 SKYTRAX 5-Star Airlines in the world, EVA Air also took the top spot for ‘World’s Best Airport Services’ and was named fifth in the World’s Top 10 Airlines by the annual SKYTRAX World Airlines Awards 2018.

The annual SKYTRAX awards continued to recognise EVA Air’s commitment to quality service, as it awarded the airline with multiple other top ten spots in its award categories, including second place in the ‘World’s Cleanest Aircraft Cabins’ and ‘Best Airline Staff in Asia’ categories, as well as third place in the ‘Best Business Class Comfort Amenities’ and ‘Best Airlines in Asia’ categories.

Clay Sun, EVA Air’s president, said: “We are thrilled to be awarded SKYTRAX’s 5-Star Airline certification for the third consecutive year. I’m especially grateful to all of EVA Air’s staff and thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for always doing their very best to serve every passenger.

“It is a great honour to be recognised by travellers from around the globe. We aim to make every journey with us a delightful, relaxing experience for every passenger and will always strive for EVA Air to be the very best in the airline industry.”

SKYTRAX identified the world’s best airlines through analysis of an extensive global passenger satisfaction survey, which featured 335 airlines in the final results. Between August 2017 and May 2018, 20.36 million travellers, representing more than 100 nationalities, responded in English, Spanish and Chinese on 49 survey topics, including airport and onboard environments.

The global ratings organisation describes the survey as “independent, impartial and global” and its awards programme is not-for-profit. The annual World Airline Awards are among the most respected in the airline industry.
