New resort manager for Wyndham Sydney

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific has appointed Jerry Estrada as the new Resort Manager of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Sydney, located on Wentworth Avenue in the city’s CBD.

Estrada joins Wyndham Sydney with more than 18 years’ experience in hospitality, including eight years in managerial positions in four-and-a-half star properties in Australia and overseas.

Most recently, he worked in Western Australia as hotel manager of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Perth, a luxury boutique hotel in the CBD’s west.

With previous experience as an innovator driving special projects designed to improve productivity, efficiency, revenue and staff morale in hotels, Estrada will bring valuable knowledge and ideas to Wyndham Sydney.

Matt Taplin, Wyndham’s senior vice president Resort Operations and Property Development, said Estrada represented an excellent choice to lead one of Wyndham’s busiest hotels in Australia.

“Over his career, Jerry has diligently learnt and mastered all major aspects of hospitality – including operations, front office, recreation management and food and beverage,” Taplin said.

“He has enthusiastically stepped into a leadership role with us and I am confident he will relish the challenge of the thriving Sydney market. Jerry will use his hospitality acumen to provide our Sydney guests with the excellent service they expect and ensure they have an unforgettable experience while staying with us.”

Wyndham Sydney is located in the CBD within walking distance of historic attractions like the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and Chinatown. Stunning beaches, world-class shopping and contemporary dining are within easy reach of the hotel.
