Macdonald Aviemore Resort scoops major accolade

Macdonald Aviemore Resort has been named ‘Best Resort of the Year’ at the 2019 Scottish Hospitality Awards.

The team in Aviemore scooped the impressive accolade after being nominated for the award by guests and members of the public earlier this year.

Recognising the achievements of local professionals and establishments across Scotland, the Awards are a major celebration of the country’s hospitality industry and a key event in the industry calendar.

Paul Bayliss MBE, managing director at Macdonald Aviemore Resort, said: “We are thrilled to have won the Best Resort of the Year award at this prestigious event, especially given the exceptional competition.

“Our fantastic team of staff work tirelessly to ensure we provide our visitors with the very best guest experiences in Scotland, and this win is a resounding testament to their commitment and dedication.

“We are proud to sit alongside our fellow world-class resorts and hotels in providing the highest levels of visitor experience and customer service to our guests,” he continued.

“Our resort and breathtaking scenery really do offer something for everyone from young to old, and we are absolutely delighted that our first-rate Highland hospitality has been recognised in this way.”

The Scottish Hospitality Awards recognise the very best individuals and businesses within the industry across 32 distinct categories, and this year’s ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Hospitality Awards 2019 said: “The hospitality industry plays a vital role in enhancing the country’s tourism and reputation. These professionals have dedicated their whole career to delivering memorable experiences and making Scotland a welcoming place for tourists and visitors.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”
