Anfi Tauro nominated for top golf award
The golf course at RCI Gold Crown Resort Anfi Tauro has been nominated for a prize in the prestigious World Golf Awards.
The awards celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses and golf destinations, and the Anfi’s course in Gran Canaria is among the nominees for Spain’s Best Golf Course 2016.
The awards are initially decided by votes made by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry – senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media professionals – as well as the general public (golf tourism consumers).
The voting works on a first-past-the-post system to ensure impartiality and independence, with votes submitted online via the World Golf Awards website.
The winners of each national category will go head-to-head with the winners of the other countries before the World Winners are unveiled, and World Golf Awards Managing Director Christopher Frost encouraged golf lovers to start voting for their favourites.
“With voting now open it is down to you, the voters, to decide who we will recognise with our prestigious trophies,” he said.
Célia Fonseca , Anfi Group’s Marketing Division Director, said: “We are very proud to receive this nomination by World Golf Awards recognizing the great service and excellence in the golf tourism industry.
“We would like to kindly ask everyone to vote for us and to promote our nomination by sharing our facebook, twitter, linkedin and instagram posts through your channels.”
You can also vote for Anfi Tauro in the Spanish category on the Awards site.
Voting closes on 1 October and this year’s World Golf Awards Gala Ceremony takes place at the Conrad Algarve in Portugal, from 11-13 November 2016.
