Air Corsica launches new flights from Stansted
Air Corsica is launching new flights to the Mediterranean island from London Stansted, starting in May 2018.
The airline will be operating nine flights every week out of London Stansted to three airports in Corsica from 3 May.
The new services to Ajaccio, Bastia and Figari will be the first time that Air Corsica has operated scheduled flights in the UK, and offer holidaymakers the chance to discover the increasingly popular destination.
The island is only 180km long and 80km wide but with a hugely diverse landscape including snow-capped mountains, thick chestnuts forests and authentic Corsican villages, all surrounded by a coastline of white beaches and turquoise waters.
Hervé Pierret, Air Corsica’s managing director, said: “We expect that these new routes will not take long to become a firm favourite as an easily accessible and affordable destination, we believe there is real demand for these flights from London Stansted to Corsica.
“It will no doubt provide more than a match for the long-established Mediterranean resorts.”
