Cameron House helps protect National Park

Scottish resort Cameron House, which is located within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, has joined a new Friends of Our Park sustainability scheme to help conserve and enhance the area for all to enjoy.

The RCI-affiliated resort has signed up to the scheme which will raise funds from guests to directly support priority projects in the Loch Lomond area of the national park including helping to protect wildlife, such as native red squirrels, and improving footpaths.

Set on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland’s first national park, where the lowlands meets the highlands, Cameron House Resort (www.cameronhouse.co.uk) is introduced a voluntary visitor giving scheme of £1 per stay from 30 November 2017.

Andy Roger, Cameron House Resort director, said: “We really are privileged to be located within the national park, in such a magical and unique setting. The stunning views and landscape all add to the very special experience of staying here at Cameron House.

‘Incredible surroundings’

“Our guests love and appreciate these incredible surroundings and I’m sure will be happy to be part of protecting its future. We need to ensure we do our bit to both sustain and enhance this part of Scotland for future visitors and generations.”

James Fraser, chairman of the Friends of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs conservation and heritage charity, added: “It’s great to have Cameron House Resort participating in the Friends of Our Park visitor giving scheme – their involvement will provide a major boost to a number of projects aimed at protecting and improving the special qualities of Loch Lomond and the wider National Park for the benefit of people and wildlife.

“It also provides an opportunity for Cameron House guests to play their part in helping us make a real difference in this very special part of Scotland.”

Guests can enjoy the national park from the grounds of Cameron House Resort or take in the views from the hotel’s new open-air terrace. Complete with table fire burners and blankets for the colder months, the terrace overlooks Loch Lomond and the resort’s impressive 40ft living Christmas tree.
