CLC World launches own gin at Scottish resort
CLC World Resorts & Hotels’ (CLC World) Scottish hotel and lodge resort CLC Duchally Country Estate has launched its very own Gatehouse Gin.
Gatehouse Gin is a craft gin distilled in the gatehouse at CLC Duchally Country Estate, in partnership with local spirit specialists, Strathearn Distillery. CLC Duchally Country Estate is the first in CLC World’s portfolio to open a distillery and produce its own beverage.
The launch event took place last month (June), with UK broadcaster and journalist Jennie Bond cutting the ribbon to declare the Gatehouse Gin distillery open.

“I’ve been very lucky to visit CLC Duchally Country Estate a few times and I love the tranquil setting, friendly staff and facilities,” she said.
“I’m certain Gatehouse Gin will prove to be a great success; it certainly deserves to be with its wonderfully clean and unique flavour.”
Gatehouse Gin will be available for purchase on the resort in 50cl and miniature 10cl bottles.
Graeme MacDonald, general manager at CLC Duchally Country Estate, said: “We were delighted to partner with Strathearn Distillery, whose expertise has produced Gatehouse Gin.
“The result is a sweet and refreshing hit to the palette, thanks to the signature ingredients of Pink Lady apples and gooseberries.”

Guests at the launch event enjoyed a Gatehouse Gin Signature cocktail and tour of the distillery where Strathearn Distillery founder, Tony Reeman-Clark, provided them with an overview of the production process.
The recently-planted botanicals garden will supply ingredients for guests’ own gin distillations and provide a venue for summer gin tastings.
