CLC World resort hosts families from UK charity
CLC World Charity Holidays is providing 333 weeks of free accommodation during 2017 for select UK-based charities. As part of this initiative, seven families from Give Us Time, a charity offering UK military families a chance to rest and rehabilitate, stayed at the CLC Club La Costa World multi-resort for a week in May.
A cava reception was held for the families hosted by Jennie Bond, UK broadcaster and journalist, who is also CLC World’s brand ambassador. She enjoyed meeting the Give Us Time families and hearing about their experiences. In her welcome speech, she wished them well, saying: “I understand that being away from family for long periods poses all kinds of strains on the relationship and I hope being here is giving you time to readjust as a family unit.”

The families also enjoyed a trip to the beautiful mountain town of Ronda and plenty of time to relax and enjoy time together as a family at the beach, poolside or in the nearby town of Fuengirola.
Graham Wilding, CLC World’s director of UK Operations, said: “We designed CLC World Charity Holidays to turn going on holiday into a reality for those who need it most, supporting charities such as Give Us Time, Cystic Fibrosis Holiday Fund and Carers Trust.
“Many of us take going on holiday for granted but this can be a challenge for many coping with illness, time apart and caring for a loved one. Helping to change this and increase awareness of these causes is key to our initiative.”
CLC World Charity Holidays is planning to welcome more families to CLC World’s resorts throughout 2017.
