Edwardian Hotels London launches online check-in

Edwardian Hotels London has launched an online and mobile check-in service across all the 11 Radisson Blu Edwardian London Hotels and The May Fair Hotel that it owns and manages.

The launch follows a successful three-month trial period that saw roughly one-in-four guests across the hospitality group opt to take up the service.

The web-based check-in, which can be accessed via a link sent to email or SMS, gives guests a fast and convenient check in and check-out process on the morning of arrival and departure respectively. In addition, on check-in, guests can choose preferences such as room type, proximity to lift, a specific floor or room number and in-room amenities.

bshonline1Simple program

Developed by the in-house team at Edwardian Hotels London, which has have been developing IT solutions for both hosts and guests for the last 19 years, the program is easy for guests to navigate, without having to download an app that takes up time and space on mobile devices.

Michael Mrini, director of IT at Edwardian Hotels London, said: “We are constantly looking for ways to improve the service our guests receive when they stay with us. We know that our guests’ time is very precious and they want their arrival at any of our hotels to go as seamlessly as possible.

“The option of checking-in online or on mobile in advance of arrival lets them do that and pick up their key from concierge or guest relations.”

Guests who choose to use the service can also save time when leaving if they check-out online, with invoices being sent directly via email. As a Green Tourism Hospitality brand, Edwardian Hotels London is able to remove the need for paper forms and increase sustainability with this practice.
