Eurowings launches flights from Hamburg to Jersey
Eurowings has continued the expansion of its UK network by adding a new route from Jersey to Hamburg to its portfolio.
The fast growing German budget carrier will launch the weekly (Sunday) service on 6 May 2018, departing Hamburg at 6:00am and landing in Jersey at 7:00am local time. The return flight will depart Jersey at 7:35am, landing in Hamburg at 10:25am.
The new service means Eurowings will operate two one weekly routes from Jersey next summer, to Hamburg and Dusseldorf.
Ongoing expansion
Markus Leopold, regional manager UK at Eurowings, said: “We are pleased to further expand our Germany to UK network with our new route from Jersey to Hamburg. After a successful last season with our Dusseldorf route, we decided to add another route from Germany to Jersey and are looking forward to bring even more German tourists to the beautiful Channel Island.”
Keith Beecham, CEO of Visit Jersey, added: “Welcome from Jersey – a special island I call my home. Eurowings has been a good friend of Jersey over many years. I’m delighted that in 2018 they will be adding Hamburg to their routes to Jersey, in addition to flights from Dusseldorf.
“We may be a small island but Jersey is an island steeped in thousands of years of history and a countryside and coastline that offers wonderful opportunities to explore.”
