Karma Group creates scholarship for Christel House
Leading international luxury developer Karma Group has created a new scholarship for a student at Christel House as part of its silver anniversary celebations.
At a recent event in Goa to celebrate 25 years of the Karma Group in India, the company’s founder and chairman John Spence announced the new hospitality and hotel management scholarship, which will be specifically for a Christel House India student.
The full three-year course will be conducted at one of India’s leading private colleges and the scholarship will include all meals and accommodation. “
“The relationship with Christel House has been extremely important to us over the years,” said Spence.
“Setting a talented student up for a career in hotel management is a small but fitting way for us to say thanks to India for allowing us to succeed over the last 25 years.”

Jaison Mathew, CEO of Christel House India, said the children’s charity – founded by RCI’s co-founder Christel DeHaan – appreciated Karma’s continued support.
“Our sincere gratitude to Karma for supporting Christel House over the years,” he said.
“Their most recent sponsorship of a student in the College & Careers Program is proof positive of their commitment in joining Christel House to break the cycle of poverty for impoverished kids.”
