Leo Johnson to be keynote speaker at RDO10

Broadcaster and ‘megatrends’ expert Leo Johnson has been announced as this year’s keynote speaker at timeshare industry conference RDO10.

The annual Resort Development Organisation (RDO) conference brings together interested parties from all sectors of the industry and beyond, and this year’s delegates are set to enjoy an array of speakers chosen to engage, motivate and inspire.

This year’s conference has the theme ‘The Next Chapter’, which makes Johnson, co-presenter of FutureProofing, the BBC’s flagship series that explores the innovations and big ideas shaping business and society, the perfect choice to offer delegates an insight into what to expect from the future, so they can best prepare for the next chapter for the industry.

Johnson focuses on both short and long-term innovations and disruptive technologies and system changes that will have significant effects on different sectors of society and the economy. These have been described as ‘megatrends’ and involve him mapping out metaphorical unexploded volcanoes that can potentially cause seismic disruptions.

At RDO10 he will present ‘The new dynamics of disruption’, which will provide a fascinating look at what the future will hold for businesses within the Travel & Tourism sector. Topics due to be covered range from political instability to robohotels, and Virtual Reality staycations to universal basic incomes, with an overall focus on what will be the new set of disruptive innovations and forces reshaping the landscape for travel and accommodation.

This year’s conference takes place from 11-12 September at the Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa in Málaga, Spain, and Early Bird Bookings are now open, with discounted rates available until midnight on 28 June.
