Macdonald opens first Irish conference hotel
Macdonald Hotels has unveiled its first Irish meetings and conference hotel following the rebrand of an existing Carlton Hotel near Cork.
It is hoped the new meeting, team building and conferencing facilities are set to attract more event delegates and businesses travellers to the refurbished Macdonald Kinsale Hotel & Spa.
The hotel is aiming to become a premier choice for bookers and businesses with a dedicated service and booking team, excellent travel links, audio-visual equipment, private balconies, natural daylight and helicopter landing pad. Combined with exquisite views of the beautiful Oysterhaven Bay, the hotel is one of the most impressive event facilities in the south of Ireland.
Nestled in 90 acres of wooded parkland, Macdonald Kinsale Hotel & Spa’s Rathmore Suite is set on the ground floor of the luxury 4-star hotel. With capacity from 40 to 300 delegates, the 210 sq metre space offers a flexible layout – including theatre, banquet, classroom, U-shape, board and cabaret – and panoramic views of Oysterhaven Bay that delegates can enjoy from a private balcony.
Variety of facilities
The conference and business facilities include free Wi-Fi throughout, the latest audio-visual equipment including LCD projectors and screens as well as disabled access. The hotel also offers a leisure and wellbeing centre with a luxury spa that offers Irish Ogra peat treatments, flotation beds, relaxation room, and ‘couples suite’. The Rockpool Restaurant & Bar offers locally-sourced Irish food including Kinsale Bay Scallops, braised Irish beef, responsibly sourced wild white wild fish, and a selection of fine Irish Cheese.
