Meliá brings Spanish luxury to Chengdu
Spain’s leading hotel group, Meliá Hotels International has announced the signing of Gran Meliá Chengdu in partnership with Chengdu Renju Tourism & Hospitality LTD.
Gran Meliá Chengdu becomes the third Gran Meliá property to be brought to China and the group’s 11th property in China market.

Gran Meliá Chengdu will be perfectly situated in the northwest of JinCheng Lake Park, surrounded by greenery with lake and city views, setting the benchmark for luxury urban resorts in Chengdu and is destined to become the choice for the refined business and leisure travellers.

Scheduled to open in 2021, Gran Meliá Chengdu will blend history, luxury and the avant-garde design both inside and out. With understated elegance in every detail, the property will feature 270 spacious guest accommodations.
The hotel will also include an international dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant with private dining room, a specialty restaurant and a lobby bar. Gran Meliá Chengdu will have a strong MICE offer with beautifully designed meeting venues and rooms available for guests. Red Level Service, one of the brand’s signature highlights, which features the concept of a ‘boutique hotel’ within the hotel exclusively for VIP guests, will also be introduced in the new property.

Gran Meliá Chengdu will be operated under a management agreement with Chengdu Renju Real Estate, LTD, the owner and investment enterprise of the property.
Meliá Hotels International current portfolio in Asia comprises of 48 hotels that are open or in the process of opening in this region.
