Meliá signs deal for first hotel in Bangkok
Meliá Hotels International (MHI) has announced the signing of Meliá Bangkok, marking the group’s first property in Bangkok and second in Thailand.
Meliá Bangkok, located in the vibrant Sukhumvit district, is due to open in 2022 and is part of the Spanish hotel group’s ongoing strategic focus on international growth.
The new agreement with Asset World (TCCAW), a member of TCC Group, one of the largest business conglomerates in Thailand, provides a significant boost to Meliá’s growth and expansion in Asia. The company is planning to double its portfolio of hotels in Asia by 2020 – it currently has 13 properties in the region with another 21 in the pipeline.
