New manager to drive sustainability at Forest Hills
Macdonald Hotels has appointed Catherine Bone as the new resort manager of Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel & Spa, an RCI Gold Crown Resort located in Aberfoyle, Scotland.
Bone, who recently returned to the UK, has spent the last 20 years working in some of New Zealand and Australia’s best-known luxury hotels, resorts and restaurants.
An English, Dutch, French and German speaker, Bone brings a wealth of international experience to the role, having held general manager positions in a number of global luxury hotels and restaurants during her 20 years in the hospitality industry.
Her high-level experience also includes founding the Verdi Hospitality Consultancy in 2007, a business that offers profitability analysis, staff training and contract assignments for organisations in the hospitality sector. She is also currently remotely studying for an MBA in Leadership & Sustainability.

I’ve worked in some great hotels and resorts over the years in a number of fantastic locations, but nothing comes close to the beauty and tranquillity of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
