Pestana Hotel Group wins three tourism awards
Pestana Hotel Group has won three major international tourism awards and Portugal has also earned a number of accolades at the World Travel Awards 2017.
For the second consecutive year, Pestana Porto Santo All Inclusive & Spa Beach Resort received the award for Europe’s Leading All Inclusive Resort. Pestana Palace Lisbon was elected Europe’s Leading Luxury Business Hotel and the Pestana CR7 Funchal was elected Portugal’s Leading Boutique Hotel.
The World Travel Awards 2017 ceremony took place on 30 September in St. Petersburg, Russia, during which Portugal was named Best Tourist Destination in Europe, the Algarve as the Best Beach Destination and Madeira as Best Insular Destination.

Created in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognise the best examples of good practice in the tourism sector on a global scale. The awards are voted for by the general public and more than 200,000 tourism professionals from 160 countries.
