Pine Cliffs Resort to complete €50m redevelopment
Leading Portugal lifestyle destination, Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort, will complete an epic, 18-month €50 million redevelopment this summer.
Codenamed the #PineCliffsJourney – the major development is designed to herald the reawakening of the Algarve as a serious contemporary luxury destination for sophisticated, discerning travellers.
The major phased development, which commenced in November 2014, has utterly transformed the hotel at the resort’s heart, while simultaneously creating 76 brand new luxury seafront-chic apartments. Featuring all-new accommodation, enhanced and extended dining options, and a brand new 1,000 sq m Serenity Spa, the fully renovated Pine Cliffs Hotel, a Luxury Collection Resort and its new addition the Pine Cliffs Ocean Suites, a Luxury Collection Resort will be unveiled in June 2016.
Comprehensive renovation
After building a distinguished heritage and reputation during its previous incarnation as the Sheraton Algarve, a Luxury Collection Hotel, the new Pine Cliffs Hotel, a Luxury Collection Resort, has been comprehensively renovated. All 217 guest rooms and suites, public areas and facilities have been completely restyled, with fresh, understated luxury interiors by London’s Lynne Hunt embracing a contemporary style while drawing inspiration from the hotel’s Portuguese heritage.
Complete with signature amenities such as custom-blended toiletries and elevated services befitting a Luxury Collection property – including a dedicated kid’s concierge – the hotel’s accommodation options now comprise 121 Premium Deluxe Rooms; 63 Premium Grand Deluxe Rooms; 11 Premium Junior Suites; 21 Premium Duplex Suites; and the palatial Neptuno Suite, offering the ultimate in opulent style and comfort.
The hotel’s restaurants and bars have also been reinvented. Existing outlets such as Jardim Colonial and Portulano have benefitted from a full physical and conceptual overhaul, and will also be complimented by a new healthy restaurant. Later this year, the resort will unveil two brand new culinary destinations including the Corda Square market restaurant and Portofino, serving fine Italian cuisine.
One of the most extraordinary and alluring additions will be Pine Cliffs’ highly anticipated new state-of-the-art Serenity Spa – an unrivalled 1000m2 haven of inspired indigenous wellness experiences that will finally place Portugal on the radar of savvy spa-goers.
