Runners wanted to race for Christel House
Christel House, the timeshare industry’s charity of choice, is seeking runners to take part in a prestigious 10k race to raise funds for the children’s charity.
Christel House Europe has five places in the ASICS London 10k (formerly known as the British Westminster 10k), which will see runners take to the streets of Central London on 21 July 2019.
The final route of the race, which starts at 9.30am, has yet to be announced but it takes in the geographical centre of London, down Regent Street, the Strand and Embankment, giving runners and spectators great views across the Thames to the London Eye.
The event also features live bands and DJs motivating runners at every kilometre.
Last year Lord Anthony St John, his son Alexander and Mark Jones all took part in the race on behalf of Christel House, raising nearly £7,000 to help impoverished children to break the cycle of poverty by providing full time education with healthcare, nutrition, life skills and career planning.
The charity, which was founded by RCI’s co-founder Christel DeHaan, operates two learning centres in India, one in Mexico, one in South Africa, and four schools in the US.
Three of the charity’s five places in the event are still available – anyone interested in taking part should contact Liz Taylor by email at etaylor@uk.christelhouse.org
