Scottish hotel invests £250k in spa renovation
Fairmont St Andrews, a five-star hotel in Scotland’s ‘Home of Golf’, is undertaking a £250,000 renovation of the resort’s pool and hydrotherapy facilities.
The capital investment will elevate the property’s prestigious facilities by adding a stunning new 16 metre pool hall, Jacuzzi, aromatherapy steam room, sauna and shower experiences.
The newly renovated facilities are due to reopen on 24 March 2018, and will add to the hotel’s luxurious ten treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, fitness studio, recently upgraded gym featuring Life Fitness technology, and spinning bikes.
John Keating, Fairmont St Andrews’ general manager, said: “We are committed to ensuring the hotel remains the preferred choice for many families and business clients alike, the spa renovations will allow us to provide the best hotel experience to our valued guests.
“We are taking this opportunity to improve our pool and hydro facilities with an investment of £250,000 and looking forward to re-opening the new pool area very soon.”

Fairmont St Andrews recently celebrated the completion of a multi-million pound interior refurbishment in September 2017.
The extensive 18-month programme saw a complete redesign of the hotel’s Atrium, incorporating a bespoke 60m long ceiling sculpture by award winning artist George Singer, a new restaurant and opening up the new lobby space to create a connection into the Kittocks Bar.
The resort’s suites and bathroom were also renovated as part of the wider investment throughout the resort.
