Waldhaus Flims joins Leading Hotels of the World
The Waldhaus Flims Alpine Grand Hotel & Spa (‘Waldhaus Flims’), an iconic alpine resort in the resort town of Flims in Switzerland, has joined The Leading Hotels of the World.
The company is a consortium of more than 375 luxury hotels and resorts in more than 75 countries, and Waldhaus Flims has joined in the same year it celebrates its 140th anniversary.
The hotel completed a major renovation in 2016 and provides guests with five-star luxury amenities set among rich alpine scenery and exceptional service befitting of a ‘Leading Hotel.’

Originally established as an alpine summer destination spa hotel in 1877, the Waldhaus Flims is situated in the resort town of Flims, approximately 140km from Zurich in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
The hotel is located in the distinguished tourist destination of Flims Laax Falera in the canton of Grisons. In addition to world-class skiing and snowboarding, guests can access a premier golf course, outstanding hiking and mountain biking trails and pristine lakes such as nearby Lake Caumasee, known for its curative properties.
The region is also home to rich alpine scenery, including the Rhine Gorge, popularly known as the Swiss Grand Canyon, and the Tectonic Arena Sardona, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
