CVOA unveils agenda for VO-Con 2017
The Canadian Vacation Ownership Association (CVOA) will stage its annual vacation ownership conference next week, promising a robust agenda of unique networking functions, stimulating industry education sessions and unusual keynote speakers.
VO-Con 2017 takes place from 12-14 September at the Four Seasons Resort & Residences in Whistler, Canada, and is set to attract an audience of CVOA Members, business professionals and industry experts.
Day One (September 12) is devoted to the CVOA Board of Directors meeting and the Annual General Meeting open to all CVOA Members in good standing.
The afternoon will be devoted to optional leisure activities organised by CVOA. Choices of planned activities include a nature walk, bicycle tour, a visit to the Audain Art Museum or the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center. Networking Activities and Cocktail Reception begin at 7pm.
Following a networking breakfast and opening remarks, day two features a panel of CVOA Directors discussing the state of the Canadian vacation ownership industry from a diverse geographic and industry perspective.

Best practice
The second panel of the morning will focus on best practice topics that relate directly to HOAs (Homeowners Associations). For lunch, attendees will take the longest and highest lift in the world to Christine’s Restaurant at the Blackcomb Mountain Summit with Featured Keynote Speaker, Vikram Vij, noted chef, cookbook author and television personality. The HOA panel will continue after lunch. CVOA has then opened the afternoon to time for attendees to arrange individual business meetings.
Highlighting the third day will be the prestigious Cornerstone Award presentation to an industry leader who has made a difference, as well as a second panel presentation by CVOA Directors and the closing keynote speaker Wayne Lee, a renowned comedic speaker who inspires and motivates through hypnotism.
Jon Zwickel, president and CEO of CVOA, said: “We’ve structured our event to leave plenty of time for networking, which attendees have historically told us is the most important aspect of the conference.
“Whistler is a spectacular place and mid-September weather is about as perfect as it gets. We are looking forward to seeing our members and colleagues from all over North America and Mexico next month.”
