Philippine Airlines to launch Cebu-Bangkok service

Philippine Airlines (PAL) will launch a new a service between Cebu and Bangkok in response to public demand for direct non-stop flights from Asian destinations to Central Visayas.

The new service starts on 2 December and will operate three times weekly, with flights on PAL’s 199-seater Airbus A321, which offers Business, Premium Economy and Economy classes of service.

Passengers on the 3.45 hour will enjoy free baggage allowance, wifi connectivity, inflight entertainment and new inflight meals.

The outbound flight PR578 (CEB-BKK) departs Mactan, Cebu at 21:25 every Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, arriving at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 00:10 local time. Return flight PR579 (BKK-CEB) leaves Bangkok at 01:30 local time every Wednesday/Friday/Sunday, touching down at 06:15.

Cebu is a popular holiday destination

The new flights mean travellers from Thailand now gain a convenient direct link to ‘The Queen City of the South’ and can connect to the following domestic destinations that PAL flies to from Cebu: Bacolod, Busuanga, Butuan, Cagayan, Caticlan, Davao, Camiguin, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legaspi, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, Siargao and Tacloban. From Cebu, visitors may also take PAL flights to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Seoul (Incheon), Singapore, Chengdu and Beijing (Peking).

Philippine Airlines, Asia’s first airline and the country flag carrier, operates an extensive route network of 46 international destinations spanning across Asia, Australia, Oceania, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Non-stop daily flights from London Heathrow Terminal 3 to Manila connect passengers to 32 domestic destinations in the Philippines and beyond.
