RCI and industry partners donate ARDA foundation

RCI and industry partners worked together to raise $133,440 for the ARDA International Foundation (AIF) during the recent ARDA World 2018 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The donation was largely reached through the ‘GIVE AIF X2 by RCI’ initiative, which matched the AIF donations made by ARDA World attendees throughout the course of the conference, which took place between 6-10 May.

The AIF is a non-profit organisation led by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) that advances knowledge of the industry through comprehensive market intelligence and fosters career opportunities and development through education and training programmes.

RCI’s president Gordon Gurnik said: “As a driving force in timeshare, the AIF does great work to propel the industry forward.

“At RCI, we believe the AIF provides instrumental information about the current standings and future of the industry, and we’re pleased to support the organisation’s valuable educational and research programmes.”

Howard Nusbaum, ARDA president and CEO, said: “Through its generous contributions, RCI continues to robustly support the AIF and its mission. This year, they helped us increase sponsorship of the AIF through the Give AIF X2 by RCI programme.

“The new programme will enable the AIF to expand on its core mission of providing essential research, market intelligence and educational programming to industry stakeholders. This incredible support is critical to the AIF’s ability to enhance ARDA’s industry communications and advocacy efforts in both the government affairs arena and the financial markets.”

Established in 1982 to fulfill the research needs of the industry, the AIF has grown to provide a multitude of services to vacation ownership professionals. These initiatives include research and market intelligence, professional education and certification and scholarship programmes.
