RCI to play key role at 2019 CARE Conference
RCI is to play a key role at this year’s Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers (C.A.R.E.) conference, hosting a special ‘RCI Monday’ that includes a tour of its Call Center.
This year’s conference takes place from 4-7 May at the Westin Indianapolis, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where RCI’s headquarters was established nearly 45 years ago.
In addition to the RCI Call Center tour on Monday 6 May, there will be a mini-keynote address by Adrian Garrett, RCI’s Sr. Learning & Development Specialist.
Garrett will share some Key Objectives to ‘Bias in the Workplace: Working Together to Create an Inclusive Culture’ highlighted with some tips for Women Empowerment. RCI’s Affiliate, C.A.R.E. Member Endless Vacation Rentals, will then host dinner for attendees at an off-site local venue.
Early bird registration is now open for this year’s C.A.R.E. conference, which is the 67th event to be held by the association but only the second annual event after last year’s inaugural annual conference.
C.A.R.E. attendees will gain valuable contacts and noteworthy knowledge from multiple keynote presentations and industry centric sessions, as well as a plethora of networking opportunities and fast-paced experiences.

The conference registration fee includes all meals and an agenda that includes keynote speakers, the aforementioned tour of RCI’s Call Center, a ‘Kiss the Bricks’ tour experience at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a conference venue in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.
The first of three keynote speakers will be on Sunday 5 May, with Emmy Award-winning executive producer Bill Stainton headlining with ‘The 5 Best Decisions the Beatles Ever Made…and Why You Should Make Them, Too!’
Stainton will combine music, video, and audience interaction to help attendees take their own team to the ‘top of the charts’. Bill said: “Success is not a result of ‘luck’, ‘a fluke’, or ‘the breaks’. It’s the result of specific decisions – decisions that every leader needs to make!”
On Monday 6 May, Andy Masters, MA, CSP will show attendees how to ‘Kiss Your Customer: 77 Reasons Why Sales & Service Are Just Like Dating & Relationships’. With first-hand travel experience and knowledge, Masters will take attendees on a journey through the highs-and-lows world of relationship-building, utilising the clever irony between business and romance.
C.A.R.E. Members will also be presenting informative educational sessions during the two- and half-day event. Attendees will hear from:
- Dave Heine of Timeshare Escrow & Title, with his insight on Traveling with Animals…Service versus Emotional Support
- Gregory Crist, CEO of the Association of Vacation Owners (AVO), who will discuss the Changing Dynamics in the Secondary Marketplace and how existing owners in transition can present a real opportunity for resales and rentals, and
- Indianapolis’ own, Robert Kobek of CustomerCount, will lead a session titled ‘Compliance in the Year of the Class Action Litigators’.
