IHIG unveils ‘Happily’ vacation system in Pakistan

With a commitment to investing $118 million in the tourism industry of Pakistan, International Hospitality Investment Group (IHIG) has started its operation in Karachi.

Noorul Asif, CEO of IHIG, said: “Our first vacation system is called Happily. We hope to bring happiness into the lives of the people of Pakistan.”

Asif said the brand name Happily, was “a combination of two words; Happy and Family. We have chosen this name because family bonding is the need of the day in Pakistan. Western culture is overshadowing our beautiful family system and we have to safeguard it”.

Now, families of Pakistan can spend their vacation together in Pakistan and also abroad to create a lifetime of memories with the cost-effective Happily vacation ownership system.

Noorul Asif addresses the media at the Happily launch

“IHIG founders have the right mix of experience to introduce vacation ownership system which is a new concept in Pakistan,” added Asif, who stated that Pakistan’s hotel industry is segmented.

Top tourist destinations have guesthouses as the primary overnight stay option, but over the past 20 years, a number of hotel chains have expanded from main cities into tourist destinations.

Asif said there was a definite need for international operators to create 4- and 5-star resorts, and that IHIG was well positioned to take advantage of the opportunity.

He explained that IHIG entered the Pakistan hotel industry by acquiring existing properties, upgrading them with modern amenities and then running them professionally at international standards.

He also said that IHIG is also considering building its own hotels from the ground up and under a different brand name.
