Emirates adds more flights to Stockholm

Emirates has announced that it will introduce three additional flights per week to the Swedish capital of Stockholm from 8 December 2017, on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The new Emirates flight EK155 will depart Dubai at 15:00 and arrive in Stockholm Arlanda Airport at 18:45. The return flight EK156 will depart ARN at 21:10, arriving at Dubai International Airport at 06:30 the following day.

The current daily schedule sees flight EK 157 departing Dubai at 08:10 arriving at ARN at 11:55, with return flight EK158 departing ARN at 13:35 and landing back in Dubai at 22:55.

Operated by Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration, the new flights, like the current scheduled daily flight, will offer eight Private Suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business and 310 seats in Economy.

Easier connections

The timing of the three additional flights provides easier connections between Stockholm and a number of popular East Asian and African destinations. Travellers can now seamlessly connect, with a short transit through Emirates’ world-class Dubai hub, with popular destinations such as Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Manila in the Philippines and Cape Town and Durban in South Africa.

Passengers will also be able to connect to Emirates’ direct flight to Auckland in New Zealand with travel times to Indian Ocean destinations including Mauritius, the Maldives (Male) and the Seychelles (Mahé) also benefitting from the improved flight connectivity.

The timing of the new flights is set to make Dubai an even more favourable option for a long weekend or short break, as the early morning arrival time will give travellers from Sweden the whole day to kick start a holiday or short break in the UAE.

As well as providing choice and convenience for both Swedish customers travelling to Dubai and beyond for work or leisure, Emirates’ inbound passenger and cargo operations have consistently made a positive impact on Sweden’s tourism, trade, investment and employment.

Keen to build on its already significant economic contribution, Emirates is optimistic the three extra weekly flights between Dubai and Stockholm will both meet existing demand and stimulate further trade growth and visitor numbers.
