Asia Pacific Resort Development Organization Launches
APRDO aims to support and promote vacation ownership in the region.
The Asia Pacific Resort Development Organization (APRDO) launched in May as the first trade group dedicated to promoting the timeshare industry throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in Singapore, APRDO plans to partner with individual timeshare organizations across the region to support their objectives. The group will act as a point of contact for government bodies and lobby for regulations that help ensure healthy development in the region.
Founding members include representatives from across the timeshare industry, including RCI’s Jonathan Mills, managing director of RCI APAC & DAE Global, who also serves as vice president for APRDO. “We are excited to be the first overarching organization to represent the timeshare industry in the Asia Pacific region,” Mills says. “APRDO is founded by representatives who are passionate about bringing the industry to greater heights. Through APRDO, we can move the timeshare industry into one which imbues trust and reliability and ultimately provide both developers and consumers confidence in the timeshare product.”
