Hong Kong Airlines launches new Saipan service
Hong Kong Airlines will launch twice-weekly direct flights between Hong Kong and Saipan International Airport from 6 July.
Saipan is the capital and largest of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a group of 14 islands in the Western Pacific. It enjoys year-round sunshine and is popular with visitors for its beautiful white sand beaches and crystal-clear seas, which are a major draw for water sports enthusiasts. The many spectacular scuba diving sites include The Grotto, a collapsed limestone cavern.
The new route will be serviced by Airbus A333 aircraft with 292 seats, including 32 business class seats
Li Dianchun, chief commercial officer of Hong Kong Airlines, said: “We are delighted that Hong Kong Airlines is launching this Saipan service, offering even more choices to passengers travelling to tropical islands.
“Hong Kong Airlines will continue to grow our route network in [the] Asia Pacific region, providing more flexible travel options to passengers from around the world, and further strengthening Hong Kong’s position as one of the world’s major aviation hubs.”
