New pedestrian boardwalk at Macdonald Doña Lola

A new section of the Málaga Coastal Path (Senda Litorial de Malága) is now complete in front of Macdonald Doña Lola Resort, an RCI affiliate in the Costa del Sol.

The new boardwalk, which was completed after almost three months of construction work, means guests can now enjoy a seamless link between the resort and everywhere west of Calahonda, including Macdonald Leila Playa Resort and onwards towards Marbella.

Work is continuing on the boardwalk to the east of the resort which will soon connect Calahonda to neighbouring beaches and towns including Fuengirola and Torremolinos.

An impressive 180km in length, the attractive wooden boardwalk runs parallel to the sea offering walkers, joggers, cyclists and families safe passage along the coast with easy access and magnificent views over the sea and numerous beaches.

• Macdonald Doña Lola and Macdonald Villacana were recently named in Tripadvisor’s Hall of Fame, joining Macdonald Leila Playa and Macdonald La Ermita, in the list of the top 10 per cent of businesses featured on Tripadvisor worldwide.

The latest awards meaning all four Macdonald resorts in Spain have now been recognised for delivering exceptionally high levels of service for five consecutive years.

Sebastián Urquía, general manager for Macdonald Resorts in Spain, said: “We already felt very honoured to have some of the very few businesses across the globe to be recognised by TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame.

“To have every single Macdonald Resort in Spain receive this accolade is truly humbling and a real testament to the hard work, attention to detail and quality of customer service provided by our staff.”
