Apple Leisure names new director in Europe
Apple Leisure Group (ALG) has named Jordi de las Moras as managing director of its resort segment in Europe.
In the newly-created position, Moras will lead the company’s European division across the continent. Based in Palma de Mallorca in Spain, de las Moras will directly report to Javier Coll, the company’s executive vice president and chief strategy officer.
In May 2018, ALG announced that it will bring AMResorts’ award-winning brands, Secrets Resorts & Spas and Dreams Resorts & Spas, to Europe, beginning in Spain. The company also announced the creation of Amigo Hotels & Resorts, a new three-star all-inclusive resort brand catering to families and couples, emphasising a high calibre of service and quality-driven F&B programme.

“Jordi brings more than two decades of hospitality industry expertise in the market, and will be instrumental in introducing AMResorts’ innovative approach to the all-inclusive resort experience in Europe.”
De las Moras joins ALG from Valtur Milan, where he held the positions of chief commercial officer and chief marketing officer with the mission of transforming the traditional tour operator into a hotel chain with 15 hotels across Italy and Croatia.
Prior to his time with Valtur Milan, Jordi was with Meliá Hotels International for 17 years, where he held several positions including serving as commercial director for Spain’s leisure hotels in the Spanish coast, Balearic and Canary Islands, and senior sales and contracting director leisure for Global Europe and Russia. He is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, English, German, French, and Italian.
