Hoseasons scoops prestigious industry award

Leading UK self-catering holiday specialist Hoseasons is celebrating after triumphing at this year’s British Travel Awards.

The Lowestoft-based subsidiary of Wyndham Vacation Rentals was crowned Best Large Special Interest Holiday Company during a ceremony in front 1,000 people at London’s Battersea Evolution.

The award is particularly pleasing for Hoseasons’ managing director, Simon Altham, because it was voted for by customers.

He said: “I am incredibly proud of this award, not only because it serves as deserved recognition for my team, all of whom are fantastically dedicated to the business, but also because it shows that all the hard work over recent years we put into diversifying and developing our specialist breaks is finally paying off.

Great news

“It’s also great news for Lowestoft and encouraging for the local community to see a business in the coastal town doing so well on a national stage. Many people still think of us as a small boating business, but we offer so much more.

“Our million plus customers enjoy everything from a luxury lodge break or an activity holiday, to back-to-nature getaways, mini moons and romantic hot tub escapes, as well as boating on the Broads and Canals of Britain. We’re exceptionally proud of the diversity of our specialist collections.”

The award comes on the back of a sixth summer record in a row for Hoseasons with bookings up 14 per cent across its entire UK portfolio.

The firm’s specialist collections proved particularly popular during August with breaks taken at its Autograph and Evermore Lodge Holidays destinations rising 14 per cent and 11 per cent respectively.

Hoseasons has seen demand for holidays grow by 52 per cent since 2010, something Altham says has gone hand-in-hand with offering innovative new experiences to UK holidaymakers year-over-year.
