Keynote speakers confirmed for RDO8 conference
European timeshare trade body the Resort Development Organisation (RDO) has unveiled three of the key speakers for its annual conference.
Motivational speakers Chris Baréz-Brown, ‘Adventureman’ Jamie McDonald and Nigel Risner are the confirmed keynotes for the RDO8 ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’ event, which takes place at the Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa in Marbella, from 10-12 September 2017.
Baréz-Brown, who will give the conference’s opening keynote address, is an internationally-respected motivational speaker, and co-founder of he established Upping Your Elvis, a Creative Leadership Consultancy designed to unlock the innate creative genius in individuals.
His aim is to help individuals and businesses break free of the shackles of convention and do things differently in order to succeed, and his latest mission The Great Wake Up is to “re-awaken our minds, take people off auto-pilot and engage them in their everyday working lives”.
A firm believer that anyone can break out of an uninspired state to reach a more enlightened and happier way of thinking and living, his interactive session at RDO8 will give delegates ideas of simple things that can be done every day to add magic to their work and the people they work with.

McDonald is a bestselling author, world-record-holding adventurer, motivational speaker and co-founder of the Superhero Foundation, a charity that aims to help empower real-life Superheroes to change, and save lives.
The charity’s purpose is to support individuals who have a desire to complete a personal challenge while also giving something back, and reflects McDonald’s own superhuman exploits, which include cycling 14,000 miles from Bangkok to his home town of Gloucester to raise money for Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The incredible accomplishment is even more astonishing given that McDonald spent the first nine years of his life in and out of hospital with a rare spinal condition, and also suffered from a very weak immune system and epilepsy.
McDonald believes taking on challenge is all about setting goals that you can work towards and beat – the size of the goals doesn’t matter, the importance is having them in order to continue to push yourself to achieve, rather than standing still, a message at the heart of his motivational speaking.

This year’s presentation is set to be a lively, interactive and challenging affair, and will see Risner sharing the difference between dealing with change and managing uncertainty, as well as providing a seven-step process that will give attendees a toolkit to guide them through turbulent times and onto greater future success.
