Merlin Software strengthens senior team

Merlin Software for Vacation Ownership, the leading provider of cloud-based enterprise software for the global timeshare and fractional industry, has announced the appointment of Sonja Mathews as operations manager.

Based in the company’s Cape Town office, Mathews will be responsible for the implementation of Merlin Software’s new products and services beginning with the launch of the Merlin Member App.

Mathews has joined Merlin Software after 27 years in the hospitality industry working with Southern Sun Resorts – 20 of which in general management. She brings considerable experience and knowledge of various management roles within the hospitality and luxury goods industry with specific understanding of timeshare operations.

She was first introduced to Merlin Software as a client and daily user of the system in 2014 and became involved with training and the roll-out of the software across six Southern Sun properties.

Merlin Software has been developed by Mike Pnematicatos, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the fractional and vacation ownership industry in sales, marketing and resort management.
