Surveying success – RCI Ventures Q3/Q4 2018

The latest issue of RCI Ventures magazine for the EMEA region is now available, with a major focus on business opportunities in the European region, and how consumer interests are driving product development.

Opportunity for the European region is a clear theme of this issue of the RCI business magazine, with many developer contributors and RCI affiliates showcasing how they are unlocking potential in the luxury and new market sectors.

Lifestyle aspirations are now driving demand for leisure products – including the way consumers now want to holiday. While caring and an awareness of our community has also become integral to purchaser decision-making and, greatly helped by the impact of television programmes such as Sir David Attenborough’s Blue Planet, investment in sustainable tourism at your resort can become a powerful sales tool.

Luxury hotel brand, AMResorts, outlines the strategy behind its move from home territory in the Caribbean to Europe in the lead feature on page 7. There will be some adjustments to its product offering to cater for European preferences, but it is a big move for this brand and a vote of confidence in the European market.

On page 22, The Registry Collection and two of its affiliates, Karma Group and Falkensteiner Hotels and Residences demonstrate how consumer appetite for an affordable luxe lifestyle is shaping their strategy and product.

Other topics covered in the issue include a case study on luxury lifestyle products by Perry Newton of Azure Malta; how a collaboration between the RDO and AIPP is set to bring timeshare further into the mainstream property arena, and a look at the fascinating evolution of the Muslim travel market, and how resorts can engage with it.

The magazine also contains a variety of industry news as well as a ‘Final Thought’ column by Robin Mills, RCI’s new vice president for business development in the EMEA region.
