DoubleTree by Hilton debuts in Bay Square, Dubai

DoubleTree by Hilton has announced the opening of its first hotel in Bay Square, Dubai.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay features 238 spacious guest rooms and suítes, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai or Bay Square. It joins two other DoubleTree by Hilton properties already open in Dubai and eight DoubleTree by Hilton properties open across the Middle East.

DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay is located in Bay Square, a low-rise community square surrounded by shops, cafés and local businesses. The hotel is ideally located between ‘old’ and ‘new’ Dubai, allowing guests to experience all the city has to offer.

It is also in close proximity to new waterfront destination Marasi Business Bay, which features a 10km promenade offering outdoor wellness and recreational activities. The hotel also offers easy access to Downtown Dubai, with a range of modern attractions including the Dubai Opera, the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa.

Guests can also explore ‘old Dubai’, an area around Dubai Creek filled with charming textile, spice and gold souks. To make stays convenient, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to the business district, major tourist attractions and beaches.

Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said: “Dubai is a fast-growing, cosmopolitan city that offers visitors a range of activities, from shopping in the modern malls, to watching a performance at the opera, to abra rides on the creek.

“As the first and only hotel in Bay Square, DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay is ideal for travellers seeking accomodation in this popular new destination. We look forward to welcoming guests with something special at every stage of their stay, starting with our signature, warm DoubleTree cookie upon arrival.”

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Middle East, Africa & Turkey, Hilton, added: “DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay is an exciting addition to an already bustling area of Dubai, and we are thrilled to bring yet another of our world-class properties to a city renowned for its hospitality. With this great addition to our portfolio, we now operate 10 Hilton properties in Dubai.”

The hotel is owned by Dubai Properties Group (DPG), one of the emirate’s leading property development and management companies.

Juma Bin Darwish, senior executive director retail and hotel asset management, DPG, said the hotel reiterates the company’s commitment to deliver exceptional lifestyle experiences for Dubai’s business and leisure travellers.

“Our aim is to further strengthen the Emirate’s diversified hospitality offerings by continuing to grow our portfolio of Hospitality Assets leading up to Expo 2020 and beyond,” he added.
