Sundus Rotana Muscat marks new chapter in Oman

Sundus Rotana Muscat has opened its doors to serve the increasing number of travellers and guests visiting the Sultanate.

The new hotel is the brand’s first property in Muscat and marks a strategic expansion plan in Oman.

Mohammed Al Ardhi, owner of Sundus Rotana, Muscat said: “Tourism is a key diversification driver of the Omani economy and it is our responsibility to help propel this vision forward and generate sustainable returns for Oman and its people.

“We are honoured to be partnering with one of the world’s renowned hotel chains and bring their decade-long hospitality experience to Muscat. We are confident that under their management, we will be able to offer our guests unforgettable moments.”

Sundus Rotana’s strategic location and service offering is set to cater to seasonal guests as well as business travellers.

The hotel has 215 rooms and suites, six flexible meeting and conference rooms in addition to a ballroom and Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club fully equipped with a gymnasium, swimming pool and steam rooms.

It also features three signature restaurants including the Lobby Lounge café, Ginger all-day dining and the Teatro restaurant will bring Japan, Italy, India and China to Muscat.

Nasser Al Nowais, chairman of Rotana, said: “2017 has been a year of milestones for Rotana as we celebrated our 25th anniversary and expanded our presence across the region.

“Oman has always been a key growth market for us to expand into. We pride ourselves in identifying new and upcoming travel destinations people wish to visit and Muscat is growing in popularity.
