Macdonald Doña Lola hosts Coastal Path opening
Macdonald Doña Lola Resort has hosted the official opening ceremony for a new stretch of the Malaga Coastal Path (Senda Litoral de Malaga).
Juan Carlos Maldonado, the Mayor of Mijas, conducted the official opening of the new section of path at Calahonda, which runs parallel to the resort. It was completed in summer 2018, and is part of a 180km coastal boardwalk along the Malaga coast.
Mijas340 TV, local press, a number of local dignitaries and Macdonald staff from the resort all attended the ceremony, which included an official ribbon cutting, a speech about the project and a celebratory glass of fizz courtesy of La Plaza Beach.

Macdonald staff thanked the resort’s owners and guests for their support and patience whilst the project progressed, and acknowledged the huge benefit that the new facility brings to the whole region.
That includes guests at Macdonald Doña Lola Resort and Macdonald Leila Playa Resort, both of which are affiliated to RCI, along with all other Macdonald Resorts.
