RCI Resort Recognition Program – setting quality standards for 25 Years
The RCI Resort Recognition Program is celebrating 25 years of honoring affiliated resorts that provide outstanding vacation experiences, having launched the first program to set quality standards for the vacation exchange industry in 1992.
Based on resort accommodations, hospitality and member experience feedback, RCI’s industry leading program presents awards to the top-rated resorts. Only the properties with the highest levels of excellence are considered for recognition.
Gordon Gurnik, president of RCI, said: “The RCI Resort Recognition Program plays an important role in reinforcing our commitment to exceeding the vacation expectations of owners and RCI subscribing members.
Raising the bar
“For 25 years, our affiliates’ ongoing dedication to customer satisfaction and quality accommodations has raised the bar of the business. We are proud that more than 2,000 properties have earned accolades from high ratings and outstanding member feedback, which is evidence of the first-rate services and resort experiences provided by the RCI exchange network.”
Each year, resorts are re-evaluated to keep their standing as a RCI Gold Crown Resort property, RCI Silver Crown Resort property or the RCI Hospitality designation. Of the resorts that have been affiliated with RCI since the program’s inception, more than 45 have received honors for 25 consecutive years.
To determine resort awards, RCI uses five categories from subscribing member comment cards including housekeeping, unit maintenance, resort maintenance, hospitality and check-in/checkout. Services, amenities and unit configuration are also evaluated.
When a resort earns one of the program designations, it is able to feature the distinction in marketing and sales materials, signifying to members that the property meets specific criteria set by RCI. It also gives vacationers an idea of the type of experience they can expect.
